This temple was built in 1915 and at present, it is being renovated in preparation for the Maha Kumabishegan which is expected to be held on the 19th of August 2012.

The
12th mile Sri Maha Mariamman temple made famous by the highly publicized entry
of a 5 metre long albino King Cobra which coiled itself around the Amman deity in 2005 was built in 1883. During that season, a multiracial crowd of about 30,000 consisting of both devotees and curious onlookers thronged this temple to witness this rare occurrence.This temple is located
along the LDP highway next to the Rakan Muda Stadium.
